In The Network
The men, the myths, the legends.... The Manchise. Jerry (aka Dragon) and Jonah (aka KnightHawk) are the voices behind the blog. While The Manchise is your source for pure sports opinion on anything and everything, we all know that Melrose is the place to go for your Hawkeye needs. But who are these idiots?
Well, Jonah is just your average guy born and raised in the good ol' state of Iowa. Corn fed from the day he was born, his true passion is football, which he's had a good dose of. He played D3 ball in Iowa before giving it up for his other passion, The University of Iowa (oh, and that other thing we all know drives men's decisions... a woman). Now done with the college scene (as much as one can be living downton in a college town), he now spends most of his time working for the man. Spare time is spent doing the obvious, watching the Hawkeyes and partaking in typical grown man activities (drinking beer and making man noises). Other interestes include the St. Louis Cardinals (that's right, suck on that one all you freakin' Cub fans) and fantasy sports.
Jerry is an English major at UI, who is sorting through his options for career paths. He wants to be a professional writer/journalist with hopes of one day having his own column. Born in Illinois, he was raised by his father to believe in three things: Ditka, Bears, and Ditka. Expanding his horizons, he became a Bulls fan and the NBA (his true passion). Then came the most defining decision ever bestowed on a young boy living in the burbs of Chicago, Cubs or White Sox? Two men pushed him over the edge, allowing him to make one of the best decisions he's made to this day. Frank Thomas and Bo Jackson caught his eye, and he never looked back. One World Serie Trophy later, he is still swimming in the glory of that decision. Having come to Iowa for their amazing writing program (best in the WORLD!), and a girl, he has never looked back.
