Yankees First-Half Heroes
I know it’s probably a little early to be obsessing over the division standings, but I just can’t help myself. I am enjoying every minute of my Yankees being in first place. Yes, it is the New York Yankees who are sitting atop the AL East – not the anointed-champion Baahston Red Sox. I’m so proud of this team. At the halfway point in the season, I think now’s a good time to step back and reflect on the reasons why these Yankees are where they are. Obviously, being a first place team, it’s a whole-team effort. But I think there are a few guys who have exceeded expectations, and I think they are worthy of being crowned the First-Half Heroes.
