WWE Black Friday: About 4 Months Later Than Expected
Wrestlemania, the epicenter of the WWE year. To most, it is the culmination of a year's worth of hard work and a chance to shine on the grandest stage of them all. To the lower card workers though, it is perhaps one last hurrah, and a time to panic.
The reason for this of course, is that the WWE usually runs a set of cuts shortly after Wrestlemania, ending the tenures of often unused talents as a form of "spring cleaning". This is basically an annual thing, but it seemed that this year, those talents had survived. April, May, and June came and went with nobody being cut. It seemed everyone was safe. Or so they thought.
This past friday, albeit 4 months late, was WWE black friday. Five main level talents were cut (well, 4 but I'll explain the 5th one) as well as many developmental wrestlers. Click "Next" below to find out who was cut and what the future may hold for each former WWE superstar.
