Rate The Booking: Destination X 2011 - Good Stuff, Wrong Order
It was just a year ago that we all bore witness to HardCORE Justice. While an abomination from a quality perspective, it was (rumored to be since TNA doesn't actually release sales figures) either the highest or one of the highest selling TNA Pay Per Views all year. In following that logic, TNA decided to do another "blast from the past" show, this time featuring another once beloved form of wrestling that has been about 5 and a half feet under. That of course, is TNA's X-Division.
In the past, Destination X has featured more spots than Cruela DeVille could handl and fans loved every minute of it. The early days of TNA were largely sold on these matches but time and certain individuals have evolved the product to a soap opera that has cast the wrestling aside. This night was a chance to show the fans what they have been missing, and in my opinion, it did a pretty good job of that.
Since most of these matches weren't done to further long term stories in TNA, we'll do our best to look at them from a booking perspective. That said, just remember that this show was "for fun" while Thursday's Impact is the free PPV that will feature all the angles and stories.
