In the last decade, the monster truck industry has seen a huge boom.  Drivers and trucks have gotten better, and in some ways crazier.

The racing has continued to be just as intense, but it's the freestyles that seem to always bring in the fans.  The donuts, wheelstands, and often the intense wrecks that seem to keep the fans coming back for more.  That then pushes the drivers to continue try new things with these massive machines.

It's been in the last 10 years that these freestyles have become bigger, harder, and more intense.  Every promoter adds freestyle to their shows because that's what the fans want to see.

But what exactly makes a spectacular freestyle?

It's leaving the fans standing, and pushing the truck, and the driver, to the extreme.  It's also leaving the audience wondering, "How can they do that?"  It's massive air, non-stop motion, and being able to hear the crowd over the roar of a 1500-horsepower engine.

Some drivers push the equipment so hard that it breaks, and they simply keep on going.
