Excitement at the Line: Crazy NASCAR Finishes
At the Iowa Speedway last Saturday night, fans in attendance and watching ESPN got to witness one of the wildest ends to a race. It's not often the leader blows a motor out of the final corner coming to the checkered flag.
It's also not often that the second-place car crashes into the back of the leader and propels it across the line.
But for Carl Edwards, he was the one that made that move, although not exactly the finish he wanted. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the one celebrating in victory lane, and did so without his car being there. It was being pushed to the garage with the blown motor dripping fluids.
This was just the lastest finish in NASCAR that was unexpected, but exciting. Throughout the 60-plus year history of the sport, exciting finishes have become epic and have been revered by fans young and old.
A story follows each one, and sometimes the story is one of happiness or controversy. Either way, it's one to remember.
Let's take a look at five fantastic finishes in NASCAR, ones that people are still talking about to this day.

Simply put, I'm all about horsepower. I love racing like nothing else in this world. If it has a motor, sounds fast, runs fast, and performs well, I like it.
