Man I wish I had gotten in on this one. Winfield won’t even be covering Austin. It’ll be a rotation but mostly Griffin. It’s tough to stop Austin, but the rest won’t be tough to stop. The cowboys main issue will be running. We’ve allowed only one 100 yard rusher in the last 40 games and a league low 5 rushing TDs this year. With Griffin, who is a physical corner, on Austin and getting safety help from Sanford… The Vikings might be able to contain him. That said, this game should be close with both teams scoring in the high 20s, low 30s… but it’s a tad harsh to say the Vikings secondary can’t stop the Cowboys. When they get pressure, they hold a guy like Carson Palmer to 94 yards.

The Vikings biggest problem in the passing game will be Witten and the backs out of the backfield. With Brinkley filling in for Henderson leaves the Vikings defense susceptible to passes over the middle. Henderson is a balanced (MLB) who has a good amount of experience in the league. Brinkley is a rookie and better suited to be a run stuffer and not chasing around backs and tight ends. Look for the Cowboys to exploit that and then hit Austin on the outside when the Vikings defense is pinching in the middle later in the game.
