Agreed but will he even consider a lower base salary? I doubt it. At 10 mil per year he’s a disaster.

He’s not going to get 10 per year after having surgery. He’s going to end up signing a 1 year incentive laden deal in all liklihood to prove his healthy. The 10 a year thing is simply his agent pushing the market…nothing more nothing less.

I have to agree with Danny on this one. Ben Sheets would be a great addition if signed for a cheaper deal filled with incentives. Its not like the Cubs are short on cash either.
