Both are gay. Men who love rolling around with each other while being half naked. I’d rather watch a Sponge Bob marathon with my kids.

Your getting waaaaaayyyy off topic. The issue was ratings in Canada who will win.

You talk tv ratings? dont forget the UFC has its first ever card for free on Versus. The ratings are supposed to be so huge that Direct TV was forced to negotiate just to pick up the station. Haven’t even touched upon the fact that the UFC has Spike TV; The Ultimate Fighter, UFC unleashed, UFC primetime, Countdown to, etc.

Replays of old pay per views pick up higher ratings on cable TV then any episode of WWE or TNA

But again the issue at hand is….UFC 111 vs. Mania

I mean, if the issue is purely who will get more buys, there’s no argument. That’s a factual conclusion and whoever has the most buys will win. I tried to argue that even though professional wrestling is not as mainstream as UFC at this point (at least in terms of popularity of PPV buys), that for the Canadian viewer, Wrestlemania is the better option. I cannot argue something that will have a definite conclusion in a month when buyrates are released. What I can argue is what the better buy for Canadian pride will be, and I did that.

As for TV ratings, UFC gets on average a 1.0 on Spike. Raw gets on average a 3.6. Unless there is some other channel getting UFC stuff and getting crazy ratings, I don’t know about it. It’s not really the issue, I was using the TV ratings to support the fact that Bret Hart is a draw, especially to Canadians. It is a special thing to see him get back in a ring for the first time in 10 years (13 years since he’s been in a WWE ring). It’s also special for two Canadians to face off for one of the major titles. I’m pretty sure that’s never happened before at Wrestlemania.

All I can argue is which show is the better show for Canadians to buy in terms of seeing national heroes. If you were simply asking me to argue who will get better buys, that’s already basically a given. I cannot argue that. However, if I were campaigning across Canada, telling Canadians which PPV they SHOULD watch, I could easily argue Wrestlemania.

So Did Brock Lesnar make more fighting for Dana White or Vince McMahon is the question? The real difference between WWE and MMA is FLYING OFF THE TOP ROP. When is MMA gonna do TagTeam fights? Your telling me you wouldnt like to see Rampage and GSP go up against Evans and BJ Penn? Whose with me?

“In 2004 Lesnar left the WWE midway through a contract reportedly worth $45 million over seven years.”

This is the best I can give you on the WWE end considering it is WWE policy not to release salary information. Only leaks such as this give you any insight as to what guys make. Also to note, wrestlers get bonuses based on their spot on Pay Per Views, main events, and obviously Wrestlemania has a very large 1 day payout bonus, especially for the main event. Also factor in other divisions WWE has including film, advertising, books, etc, and guys can continue to add to their base contract. I know none of this has anything to do with the debate, but Mike asked where Brock was making more money so I just figured I’d throw in what I knew about Brock’s monies while in the WWE.
