Heyman reports (via Twitter) that Damon has “days” to take a “low deal” from the Yankees. Assuming he says no, the club will sign another outfielder from the group of Reed Johnson, Xavier Nady, Randy Winn, Jim Edmonds, and Jermaine Dye.
Exactly my point the yankees are looking for a corner outfielder that way they can still use gardner as a 4th outfielder that weapon is just too valuable and dangerous for the yankees to screw around with.

Brett Gardner isn’t an everyday player, and you’re right about that.
Gardner isn’t a good offensive player, and is much more of a 4th/5th outfielder.
