oh also forgot to mention Curtis Granderson as one of the key pieces in the yanks lineup (just had a brain fart i guess). Again the Giants may not even make the playoffs let alone have a shot at another WS title. WS is gonna go to the Sox, Yanks, or Phillies

I with you on the Red Sox or Yankees but not on phillies. The Gianst are a great team and will make the playoffs. The D-Backs might pass them for a while in the divison but they will not win the division.

I am with you about the Red Sox or Yankees making the WS but not the phillies. There are a lot of other possible teams that can beat the Phills in order to get to the WS (like the Giants).

And the Phillies/Giants is going to be a good rivalry. They will play against eachother in the NLCS. The Giants went out to get a player, the Yankees didnt. The Red Sox didnt, but the Phillies did. The Giants will have to beat the Phillies, which will ultimately be tough, but they certainly can, as Beltran knows all the pitchers by now.

But Ari, do you really believe the D-Backs will beat the Giants to win the division? D-Backs have NO pitching and the same amount of hitting that the Giants have with the acquisition of Beltran. Hudson and Kennedy have pitched very well, but that will stop. Lincy/Cain/Vogelsong won’t stop pitching good, and Sanchez is now back.

im not sayin gthe yankees will im saying they can, and if not them the red sox if not the red sox the rangers. there are a lot of teams that are ultimately better then the giants. and ur claim was “The Giants will win the World Series again this year!” And then you change it….

LOL Ari after your first claim you’re like “sorry to disappoint you.” No need to be sorry when you’re right! TAGIII97, the Giants do have incredible pitching. But when other teams like the Phillies have bolstered their rotations by acquiring a guy like Cliff Lee, one of the BEST pitchers in the game, the Giants just don’t have enough to win. I believe good pitching beats good hitting, and though the Giants have good pitching, it’s not as good as other NL teams like the Phillies, who lead baseball with a team ERA of 3.08. The Giants have the 27th worst offense out of the 30 teams with a .240 average. The Phillies have better pitching, AND better offense. Even if a miracle happens that they MAKE IT to the World Series, the AL team will own them. There is no way the Giants are going to win the World Series. The only reason they have a shot at even making the playoffs is because the NL West is a stinky division and they happen to be the best (right now) of the 5 teams there. But there is no way they are the best of the 30.
