Cordova deserves to be in the Hall of Fame before Clemens does
thanks for reading Clemens ENTIRE baseball-reference page
No proof Bonds juiced either...
One thing I didn't mention previously and it kind of define my position on the "steroid era". No matter what period of time and what competition you are talking about, guys will look for an edge. In baseball, we've seen the spitball, the corked bat, pine tar, and even segregation of race in the sport. We've now had a "steroid era" but how many guys got in the Hall of Fame after "cheating" by using corked bats or pine tar? A few guys got caught but it meant nothing and I'm sure numerous guys did the same thing but didn't get caught. Why the witch hunt with steroids? Bottom line is that it wasn't illegal when most of the guys were using and it happened. It was an even playing field and I don't believe ANYONE from that era should be banned from the Hall of Fame. On top of that, you certainly can't keep people out of the Hall of Fame on SUSPICION. That's utterly ridiculous and completely undermines great careers. The point of a Hall of Fame is to recognize great careers. Having suspicions that a few of those years were "tainted" when much of the league is probably doing the same thing is not a reason to shut guys out of the Hall of Fame. Not at all.
