hey PELLE hate to say KIFFIN the ASS is the one who wanted MOSS out and that was one of the very few things AL surprisingly allowed what sucked was like you mentioned a 4th rd pick?..we gave him away which pissed me off..but back on topic Manny is really good but has no class ..like in the ALDS 03’ i think vs my A’s and B. Zito was pitching a gem in the 5th game with MANNY up in the 9th inning and blasted a HR for the winner and stayed at the plate for a eternity and stared it down did some very slow walking and dancing around the bases was a image i will never forget classless act made me sick…now he gone to whole new levels of his act ….so got too agree with you there…he’s got talent but his act isnt worth long term ….Barry Bonds is way older and could still play but no one wants him why?…his baggage!

Dont bump up his age just to support your argument…he is 36, and thats a big difference in baseball at that age (2 years)

But that is why he isn’t getting a deal. Its a fact. Listen to the guys who are connected and they will tell you that. I am sure there are a couple teams that don’t want him cause of the attitude but thats not the only reason. The BIGGEST reason is cause no one wants to give him a 4 year deal. He has had 1 and 2 year offers but he wants more. And teams aren’t willing to give him that much for that long.

Ok listen Bonds got a deal at that age 36 BY THE WAY!!! ! So if you want to say age i think that is absurd!! He is the best hitter in baseball!
People would pay for that! BUT NOT WHEN IT COMES WITH A QUITER TAG!!!

I didn’t say that part of this wasn’t because of his antics. I said that much of the reason is because of his age.

Bonds was in a different situation too. He was a hero in San Fran and if they didn’t sign him they weren’t going to sell many tickets. But nobody feels that way about Manny.
….
Oh and you can throw in that Manny is an average fielder on his best day where as Bonds was always a good fielder.

Manny Ramirez is a VERY underrated outfielder defensively….Bonds just stunk his last 5 years

I don’t think I would pay any guy who wants a 5 year deal when he is 38. Especially not if its a National League team because then he has to play left field and he has NEVER been any good at that. I am with the GM here, I don’t think he is getting paid solely on the fact that he is old and teams don’t want to take that risk on him
