Why would the King of East Lansing want to banish himself to Cleveland? It just doens’t make any sense. I understand the alure of possibly coaching LeBron, but this isn’t college and it is much harder to mold the kind of team Izzo really likes. At least at Michigan St he has the ability to go after what exactly he is looking for with far less prima donnas.
Maybe the college game has grown stale, but what I have seen from him year in and year out it looks as if he completely enjoys his current lifestyle.
Matt I know your hope is that Izzo comes with or without LeBron so New York still has a chance, but I doubt a smart man like Izzo puts himself in a no win situation no matter what the dollar amount may be. Doubling a salary is big when you go from $10 to 20 or $20 to $40, but when you are talking 3 to 6 million the tax monster eats up most of that raise anyways.
