Not even an argument huh???? Do me a favor and go look at the roster of the ‘92 Olympic dream team, without a doubt the greatest team ever assembled, or ever will be assembled. Do you see Isiah Thomas’s name on that roster? Do you see John Stocktons name on that Roster? Both right at about the primes of their careers. Debate over, you lose.

Debate not over. One man was the leader who set the tempo and ran the Pistons. Isiah never had the luxury of the one big man who could do it all and carry a game on his shoulders. I will tell you, Steve Grogan was the walking posterboy for Grit. Gotta love him!

gotta go with isiah on this one, he didn’t have k malone to dump the ball off to for 80% of his assists

Stockton was more durable, more consistent, a better pure PG, more productive (both cumulatively and on a per-minute basis), and was even better in the playoffs, where Stock played a remarkable 182 career games.

Thomas was a unique talent but I give the slight edge to Stockton whose career assist record will never be broken.
