He also played a half of football against one of the favorites to win the super bowl and threw for 175 yards in that game. Yes it was the lions, but the lions are not nearly as bad has they have been in the past. Also, they should be 1-1 right now if not for a NFL rulebook which is vague. My first argument is that the Eagles need him to play due to a porous offensive line. They also should play him because he gives them the best opportunity to win especially now that he can pass from the pocket. Vick has no. 1 pick talent and now that he can pass he is even more dangerous.

Also, McNabb is older than 32. Additionally, maybe the Eagles see Vick as a better player than kolb long term and if that is true why go with the less talented player just cause McNabb isn’t there and was dealt due to Kolb. Heck Brady and Warner were never supposed to play and they went on to have hall of fame careers. Who is to say the 30 year old Vick that can throw doesn’t play at a high level for the next 5-6 years.

He took over against the Packers when they were blowing out the Eagles. Also the rule that caused the Lions to be 0-2 isn’t vague, it is actually too specific.

And to get the ages correct: Kolb just turned 26, Vick is 30 and McNabb is 33 not 32. You can’t view this as just one choice because it isn’t.

They traded McNabb to give the job to Kolb who they invested a second round pick in a few years back not a 30 year old Michaek Vick. If they now have more faith in Vick and he has more long term potential why didn’t he win the job in training camp?
