If someone is willing to pay Edmunds, why not take it? Have you been out in the REAL WORLD lately? Edmunds is not really qualified to start as an alderman, or a genetic research tech, he is a ball player. Once its over, its over, if he has one more season in him, I say get in there and enjoy yourself Jimbo!!
If Milwaukee is dumb enough to give him a deal- good for them. It doesn’t change the fact he’s completely over the hill in terms of defensive ability- and as Danny said- taking a year off at 39 as a hitter is insane.

What Edmonds has done 4-5 years ago doesn’t change the fact that he’s a really poor defensive player at this point in his career.
Edmonds was awful in the field with the Padres/Cubs in 2008.
He was a more than quality bat in 2008, but has taken a year off completely of baseball, which is a big deal for someone his age.
The Brewers have a lot of problems in the outfield:
-Braun is an awful defender
-Hart is an awful defender
-You cannot reasonably stick Edmonds, who is a terrible defensive CF at this point, with Hart AND Braun in the Outfield; It could be one of the worst defensive set-ups in a decade or more.
