Tito is spot on, but most other big market teams would have rolled Smith right along with Turner. That wasn’t going to happen so somebody had to be the fall guy and that was Turner and almost all of the offensive staff. The Bears offense was far from the the biggest problem in Chicago this year. Lovie Smith needs to only look in the mirror as he was the d-coordinator and head coach. Cutler had a horrible season, but most of the year wasn’t put in a situation that was beneficial to his skill set. That falls on Turner as Smith doesn’t even know what offense really means.
