This more than Favre Bowl 2 for both of these teams. It’s a chance for the Packers to get back in the running for the NFC North and even better shot for the Vikings to seperate themselves from the rest of the division. Unfortunately, for the Packers their offensive line is no match for four quarters of the Vikings defensive line. Not to mention that Favre always has his best games in the worst of circumstances. This game in Lambeau may prove almost as emotional as the game against the Raiders after his father’s passing. He is way to egotistical not to let all those once cheers now boos get to him. This will put him at his best and the Vikings will sneak out of Green Bay with a commading division lead and a 6 point victory, 26-20. Read my full game review at http://tddance.com

The SI poll mentioned about Favre being overrated came out October 6th and was talked about on PTI and Sportcenter then (a frigging month ago). The actual poll was conducted was taken prior to week THREE of the NFL season (even longer ago!). Week THREE! Favre didn’t do much in the first two weeks of the season. At that point, most people would have said the hype wasn’t justified. He threw for 110/1 against the Browns and 155/2 against the Lions. After that poll was taken he has lit it up and is in the top 5 in the NFL in several categories.

Through this part of the NFL season Favre has to be considered in the running for MVP. He may flame out much like he did last season with the Jets, but to this point the Vikings wouldn’t be 7-1 without him.

Personally, I don’t like Favre and how he has handeled the off field situations the past few years, but I do respect his game. He plays it like all men should, like a game and like you are ten years old.
