I don’t think its fair to speculate yet who is going to be the first pick in the draft. Because the Nets can bomb this season as much as the want, and it doesn’t guarantee them the first pick in the draft, its hard to say say who will be the first selected. If either the Pacers or Nets got the 1st pick, more than likely it would be John Wall. It has nothing to do with talent anymore for those two teams. More than anything for NJ- that gives them their Lebron bait, and a reason for the fans to come out. Sometimes it has to be about $$ and Turner won’t bring that like Wall will. For Indiana, hey need a point guard / fans to come out.
If the first pick were to be teams like the T’Wolves / Kings / Golden State, all of those teams are saturated with guards. Minnesota drafted like 20 point guards in last years draft. So more than likely these teams would take Turner, only because they dont need the true PG.
Its all dependent upon the lottery.

It matters not, if either of these guys end up as Clippers, they might as well hang it up, ask Blake Griffin. Ya never know where those little lotto balls are gonna go for the NBA draft…

I’m with Grogan on this one. While I do say Evan Turner is the NCAA POY, I believe John Wall is just what the NBA is looking for. The kid is an extreme athlete, with the perfect prototype body, and he’s only going to get better. He would be great for the Nets, or any other lotery team for that example.

Let’s just assume New Jersey is on the clock, they already got a young stud named Brook Lopez on the squad, and if you throw in John Wall, you got a halfway decent team on your hands.

I’m not saying Evan Turner won’t be good in the NBA (once again, hes my POY pick) but John Wall is the perfect guard, which – like Grogan said – is the most important spot on the team.

And by the way shtolky, you seem to think of Evan Turner as a 2-guard, while he is clearly a forward.
