Imagine how bad the Knicks could have been the past two seasons if they weren’t running that fast paced offense. It is a perfect system to make people think they have a better team then they really do and Lebron has a relationship with D’Antoni through the National Team

imagine how bad the knicks would have been the past 2 seasons??? i dont have to imagine, they have been terrible….and you yourself, by making the statement “the system makes them look better than they really are” are questioning his system.

Grogan, you need to get a better hold on logic.

Gibbsreport is saying that the system is SO good, that it makes a crappy roster look better than it actually is.

You don’t like the Knicks losing. we get it. you want LeBron James. we get it. But getting rid of D’Antoni, a guy who simply needs better players to truly help this team turn the corner, is something I don’t get at all.

Im a Celtics fan……i could care less about the knicks being good, and i dont want them to get James…if his system is “so good”, why arent other teams copying it?

Plain and simple: because they can’t.

They either don’t have the point guard and shooters to do it, or they don’t have the coach who has the balls to do it.

The Suns are still running this system, and Don Nelson has been doing it for years. He only has the most wins in NBA history…

Memphis and Toronto have both tried to copy it and to a lesser degree the Bulls have tried the past two seasons but all have some up short. The reason it worked in Phoenix was because they had a big like Amare to go along with Nash. Nelson has tried it for years and had some nice years in Dallas when he had a point guard, Nash again, and Dirk.

It is in general an up tempo offense, run & gun whatever you want to call it but you need shooters and a point guard while having someone who wants to rebound. Knicks only have 1 of the threee which is why it hasn’t worked better.
