Jim Rice worked for NESN? and did anylist work? But he was a sick hitter and belongs in the hall!! Best hitter in his day!!!

this is another reason why HOF voting is tainted period!
I always thought Jim Rice belonged but it boggles my mind that he didn’t make it right away. But I also think that if the voters didn’t think he should make it at first, they shouldn’t have voted him in later…WE DON’T HAVE TO ALWAYS VOTE GUYS INTO THE HALL OF FAME!
I totally agree with the tainted voting idea.
still having mic problems. Coryell helped create an offensive scheme that changed the face of the league, and just because he didn’t make the HOF first ballot, in no way means he should be forgotten, that would leave a lot of players, coaches, and owners out of the Hall. there’s just not enough room for everybody, every year, but Coryell deserves his due.
Jim rice was a jerk to the press and they never forgot it! That is why they made him wait!
The press has a memory like an elephant!!

Your argument makes no sense, lots of guys go to the HOF years, even decades after they first become eligible. As for what’s changed since his first nomination, the NFL, it’s gotten better because of his legacy, I’m pretty sure Bill Walsh is in, and he just took offensive schemes he and Coryell created and ran with them, all the way to San Fran. In closing, if you don’t make it first shot, that’s why platers, coaches, and owners have multiple chances at the HOF, as it should be.

My mic isn’t working, I thought it was, basically I’m saying the guy helped create the west coast offense, and deserves his place in Canton.
