Brad, you just made Quinn’s point. The Pac-10 is the 4th strongest out of 6 BCS conferences. Behind them is the Awful Coastal Conference and Big Least. As an Arizona Wildcat, I can attest to watch a lot of Pac-10 football, but growing up a Gator fan and attending that university for 2 years, I also watch a lot of SEC. Oregon’s main weapon is the speed in which they run their offense. They get up to that line and just go. It works in their conference, but I’m not sure it can against a quality SEC opponent. And you might want to watch the SEC before you make stat-man comments about the running backs in the SEC. Most teams run a multi-back system so the numbers aren’t high, but there’s a lot of talent around. Bama has 2 very solid backs in Ingram and the more talented Trent Richardson(my opinion but the kid is real, real good), South Carolina has Marcus Lattimore who should win national freshman of the year, Georgia’s Washaun Ealey is quite good, Florida’s Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey can outrun anyone (Demps is looking to qualify for the olympics in 2012 in the 100 meters), and even lowly Vanderbilt’s Warren Norman was a threat before he got hurt. The talent level in SEC is just so high. It comes from the quality high school programs in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama mostly. While California has some talent, it’s nowhere near states like Florida and Texas. Trust me when I tell you that Oregon is in for something if and when they meet Auburn, not the other way around. Not to say Oregon isn’t very good, because they are, but they haven’t faced an athletic team like Auburn yet.

Oregon played one of the weakest schedules I’ve ever seen a Nation Championship contender play. It is not much better than Boise State’s. They are a good football team and they did have one legitimet win against Stanford, but the same thing can be said about Stanford who has had a reddiculously weak schedule as well. If Auburn wins on Saturday, they will be the National Champions.
