he’s more than a great player. He is the best in the league. He lead His team to a Stanley cup and a gold metal. Ovechkin is a choker.

Listen kid, Ovechkin is the Alex Rodriguez of the NHL. He’ll do everything in the regular season. To be staked with the nickname “Mr. October” in hockey… is not a good thing. I realized I lost this debate on the fact that I didn’t respond in time. You’ll lose this debate nine times out of ten.

Talent is based on having absolutely no one to play with and still being a successful and dynamic player. Players around the star can certainly influence his statistics – just ask anyone who played with Gretzky, hell even Marty McSorley was even able to score 15 goals and nearly 40 points alongside the Great One. With that said, you could make a case that Brad Richards is the best player in the NHL today. You could even make the case of John Tavares with the Islanders. He played with absolutely no one, outside of Matt Moulson, and nearly broke the 70 point mark. It’s all a matter of opinion, but Ovechkin struggling this season, despite the cast he had to play with, certainly proved he’s not the best.
