Today marked the sixth day of the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship in Ufa, Russia, and the final day of the qualifying round. As you know, the Islanders have had three prospects in this tournament, and Islanders Op-Timism has been tracking their progress over the past week.For those interested, there were four games played this morning:Switzerland vs. Czech Republic: 3-4USA vs. Slovakia: 9-3Sweden vs. Finland: 7-4Russia vs. Canada: 1-4For the first time this tournament, the Islanders' prospects played on back-to-back days. Ryan Strome, Griffin Reinhart, and Ville Pokka all played some hockey on New Year's Eve.
