...Ryan Strome of the Niagra IceDogs. Strome is a 6'1" forward who can play center or the wing. He has dynamic play-making ability and incredible stick skills.
He most likely will be returning to the IceDogs for the upcoming season, but will be a great forward for the Islanders for many years to come. Strome alongside of Tavares could be a lethal tandem in the future.
This was a great pick for the Islanders and Strome. The Islanders got a dynamic forward, and Strome gets to play with two of his workout buddies. He is apparently really good friends with both John Tavares and Matt Moulson.
