Wings blow lead, regain it in close 5-3 game
A up and down game for both teams, the Wings prevailed 5-3. Here is the recap:
The first period had a lot of scoring, enough to give the Wings the lead, but the first goal at 9:17, came from Adam Cracknell, his 1st gave the Blues the early 1-0 lead. The Wings battled back, with a quick comeback goal from Rusian Salei at 11:51, then at 12:07, Darren Helm put the Wings in front for the rest of the first period.
The second period had no scoring until 18:25, and had Kronwall score for the Wings, giving them the 3-1 lead.
The Third had the Wings give up 2 goals, at 3:48, and 6:19 of the third, tying the game up, but not before a late comeback by the Wings. But Datsyuk and Abdelkader scored 1 minute apart from each other, giving the Wings the 5-3 lead and win.
For the second straight game, the Wings came back late and won. This one was another huge win, getting to 90 points.
