The Red Wings have been on a horrible skid, that with a couple more losses could have found themselves falling far out. But a big win over the Bruins gave the Wings more hope. Here is the recap:

In the first period, the Bruins played better, scoring first, only 1:29 into the game, a goal by Tyle Seguin, his 9th. The Wings fought back though, rather then falling out. They tied the game at 6:09 by Betuzzi's 11th. The Bruins though came right back, taking another lead into the second period, a goal by Brad Merchand, his 16th on a Power Play at 12:17 kept the Bruins in the lead.

The Second began, with worry for the Wings. 3:54 in though, Datsuyk scored his 14th, getting the game tied. Which soon, the Wings took the lead, at 12:44 by Kris Draper, the Wings left a lead into the Third period, looking for a big win at home

The Third was very slow, until the end at 13:35 when Bertuzzi scored the game clincher. The Wings won at home, and regained a little confidence. The hopes of winning the division remain in question though.
