Windy City Revival: Bulls Get Boozer, Korver, and Redick

The Chicago Bulls whiffed on LeBron James, but have quietly been adding great players. Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, and J.J. Redick have joined Chicago. They have done the second best job in free agency behind Miami.

Chicago now has a complete team right now to contend for a title right away. When you add in these signees with Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, and Luol Deng you have a great starting five.

Carlos Boozer will start for the Bulls at power forward and will thrive with Noah in the paint in the rebounding category. Chicago lead the NBA in rebounding last season. Kyle Korver gives Chicago a great sharp shooter off of the bench who can shoot the three. Then, J.J. Redick is a younger version of Korver. He can take it to the basket though unlike Korver. Overall, all three are great signings for Chicago.

Looking at the Eastern Conference right now, I have Chicago as the number four team. They would be behind Miami, Orlando, and Boston in my prediction. I actually could see this Bulls team beating the Miami trio of Wade, Bosh, and James if they met in the playoffs.

They will have the best starting lineup in the NBA though. Here is what their starting lineup will be for 2010-2011 season.

PG: Derrick Rose

SG: J.J. Redick

SF: Luol Deng

PF: Carlos Boozer

C: Joakim Noah

That is a great starting five for Chicago next season. If I were Tom Thibodeau, I actually would start J.J. Redick at shooting guard. He will get a lot of wide open looks with Boozer and Rose being double teamed most of the time. This could be the year for Chicago to make a deep run into the playoffs with this kind of starting lineup put out on the court.

This is the year I expect Derrick Rose to make the jump into the elite NBA point guards. He has the talent around him to have a Chris Paul type impact for the Bulls. Expect him to average a double-double next season with the roster surrounding him.

Boozer will improve off of his 20-10 season last year and he will get 20-15, just watch. Perfect landing spot for Boozer, he will bring Chicago a basketball revival.

Don't count out the Chicago Bulls next season. Who knows, they might bring back the 1990's Chicago Bulls if they get some chemistry going.
