FriendsThrough sports I have made so many good friends. The connection that is brought by combining teamwork and competition is a very strong bond. Some very unlikely friendships come about through sports that might never happen through any other medium. To the day I can still vividly remember all of my friends that I made through sports, both competitively and pick-up games.In my last When It Was a Game post I mentioned a couple of my friends (Doc & BB) that I made from my time playing pick-up basketball at our local community center and that was just the beginning. The neighborhood I grew up in, particularly the street I grew up was filled with kids. All of us were in the same age range and most of us shared a love for sports. This made it very easy to create pick-up games of any type....
