The NCAA Basketball season doesn't really kick off and go into full swing until the Champions Classic. This year the #1 seed Michigan State would face-off against the #2 seed Kentucky. This would be the earliest one vs. two seed in NCAA history and the first since 2008 When Tennessee beat the #1 seed Memphis.

#2 Michigan State vs. #1 Kentucky

Michigan State would come out firing on all cylinders. They would take a 10-0 lead off of four Kentucky Turnovers. Garys Harris and Adreian Payne would dominate the first half of the game for the Spartans. The player to watch "Julius Randle"  would have three turnovers before making his first points which came on a pair of free throws, and four turnovers before his first field goal. Julius Randle only had 4 points and 4 turnovers in the first half with his Wildcats down 44-32.

Julius Randle would turn it around in the second half going right at the heart of the Michigan State defense. Kentucky's first three shot attempts came from Julius Randle made lay ups. Julius Randle would single handedly bring his team back into the game with 25 second half points. But it wasn't enough to get by the experience of Michigan State. Keith Appling would finish with a remarkable stat of 22 Pts 8 Reb 8Ast and 4 Stl to lead the Spartans over the Wildcats.

#5 Kansas vs. #4 Duke

The second game of the double header at the Champions Classic would be the battle of the freshman. Andrew Wiggins vs. Jabari Parker, the #1 and #2 ranked Freshman this year. Andrew Wiggins would strike first with a dunk assisted by Jamari Taylor but after that play it would be all Jabari Parker. Jabari Parker would fire back with an and one three pointer which would be converted to a four point play. And then next time down the court he would pop another three, and then after that he would had an assist for a teammates three. Soon enough after Parker accounted for 10 straight Duke points Andrew Wiggins would get two layups to fall. Then Jabari Parker would take flight once again going off for 10 points in a two and a half minuet span.

In the second half Kansas looked like they were out on a mission. Wiggins scored of a jumper, then Wayne Shelden hit a jumper, and then Perry Ellis would take over as the returning Sophmore from last years Bill Self team, Ellis got a layup to go inside and then hit a three next time down the court. Perry Ellis would start Kansas off with 9 points of his own in just the first eight minuets of the game. After Perry Ellis cooled down it was Wiggins would seal the win for Kansas with a few Jumpers,Inside looks and free throws.

Detroit @ #19 Uconn

#19 Uconn hosted unranked Detroit this Thursday. This was a very fun game to watch if you are a fan of the Uconn Huskies as they destroyed Detroit 55-101. This was Connecticut's first 100 point game in four years as they had six players in double digits including New York cities own Omar Calhoun who had 17 Pts.
