Henrik Lundqvist stopped 30 shots while Benoit Pouliot and Daniel Carcillo scored in the Rangers beat the Islanders 2-1 in front of 50,000 people in Yankee Stadium.
Evgeni Nabokov made 32 saves and Brock Nelson scored the Islanders only goal in their 2-1 loss to the Rangers.
Oilers 3 Sharks 0
Ben Scrivens broke a record by stopping all 59 shots he faced in a 60 minute game while Taylor Hall scored a goal and two assists in the Oilers 3-0 win over the Sharks. Jordan Eberle scored a goal and a assist and Justin Schultz also scored. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also chipped in with two assists.
Antti Niemi made 24 saves and Brent Burns led the Sharks with eight of the 59 shots on goal in their 3-0 loss to the Oilers.
Blackhawks 5 Canucks 2
Corey Crawford stopped 29 shots and Brandon Saad scored two goals and a assist in the Blackhawks 5-2 win over the Canucks. Marian Hossa, Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews all had a goal and an assist in the win.
Roberto Luongo made 35 saves while Christopher Higgins and Tom Sestito scored in the Canucks 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
