Wednesday Night NHL Recap
There were only three NHL games on Wednesday night.
Rangers 3 Blackhawks 2
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 35 shots and Brad Richards scored a goal and an assist for the Rangers in a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks. Carl Hagelin and Mats Zuccarello also scored for the Rangers.
Corey Crawford allowed three goals on 32 shots while Jonathan Toews and Brandon Bollig scored for the Blackhawks in their 3-2 loss to the Rangers.
Flyers 3 Canadiens 1
Steve Mason made 19 saves while Michael Raffl, Zac Rinaldo and Sean Couturier all scored goals in the Flyers 3-1 win over the Canadiens. Andrej Meszaros also chipped in with three assist.
Peter Budaj made 24 saves and Tomas Plekanec scored the Canadiens only goal in their 3-1 loss to the Flyers.
Avalanche 4 Senators 3 OT
Semyon Varlamov made 29 saves and Paul Stastny had a goal and two assists in Colorado's 4-3 overtime win over the Senators. Tyson Barrie scored the overtime goal and had an assist, while Jamie McGinn and Jan Hejda also scored for the Avalanche. Gabriel Landeskog had three assist also.
Craig Anderson allowed four goals on 31 shots while Clarke MacArthur, Jason Spezza and Kyle Turris all scored for the Senators in their 4-2 loss to the Avalanche. Erik Karlsson also had two assist.
