The passion we have seen this year, but more specifically in this game against the Bucks is something we didn't see during the regular season last year. You get the vibe that this team wants to win every time they step out onto the floor. Last year it was just ehhh.. We will win if we happen to play good enough to win.
It is so much more fun to watch. There were times last year when I looked at how the Celtics were playing, and I said there is no way I would spend money to travel down from Maine to watch them give a half hearted effort. But this year.. We have a whooooole new story.
Whether it be that he is healthy, or frustrated from last year, or whatever, Kevin Garnett is back to his 07-08 ways of cussing, playing fierce basketball, and pounding a crater into his chest. It really gives me goosebumps to watch someone play with that kind of intensity. Other players, fans, announcers, whoever, they can all hate him. I don't care. I love what he brings to the floor and he makes it fun to watch.
So if you were frustrated with last regular season, and think its not worth your time to watch this regular season, think again. This is a new chapter. This is 07-08 style Celtics basketball and its exciting as hell.
