There hasn't been many games like Saturday night's loss for the Bulls this season.
When both Derrick Rose and Carlos Boozer get double-doubles and Luol Deng chips in with his usual output of 15-20 points and 5-8 rebounds most nights that ends up being a W but not Saturday.
To me the Bulls looked confused for most of the game. It was like they couldn't decide if they wanted to run and gun with the Warriors or if they were going to ignore them and just play there game. After three quarters the Bulls trailed by one but were then outscored 28-18 in the final quarter.
Besides the trio of Rose, Boozer and Deng the Bulls got very little from everyone else. Korver scored 11 but it took him 9 shots to do so. Taj Gibson had a good game with 8 points and 8 rebounds. CJ Watson played awful going 0-5 in his 11 minutes.
The biggest difference in the game was at the free throw line where the Warriors shot 10 more then Chicago and made 13 more then them. It is still amazing to me as much as Drose drives to the basket that he could have a game where he only gets to the line twice. Monte Ellis made it to the line 10 times making all 10 on his way to a 33 point performance for Golden State.
Warriors coach Keith Smart rode the trio of Ellis, Curry, who both played 44 minutes, and Dorell Wright who played all 48 minutes to victory. All three scored over 20 points.
The Bulls next play Monday in Portland against the banged up Blazers. I would expect another big game from Deng who likes to set career highs when he plays against the Blazers. Let's hope the Bulls can handle Portland just like they did back in December at the UC.
