It wouldn't crazy to say that Wade Barrett is among the most hated men in the WWE. From the envy of other youngsters who could not win NXT, to the disdain of other wrestlers for the dispicable acts of his Nexus group, Barrett built up enormous hatred for himself over the last year.
Remember that what you see on TV is merely a character though. I know that Barrett has been seen in public wearing his Nexus armband (when he was in Nexus that is), and while you all know how ridiculous I think the idea of kayfabe in public truly is, the Wade Barrett persona is something that is confined to the small screen.

Back in the day, a guy like Barrett would not be able to do out of character interviews like the one I'm going to post below. Nowadays, we try and assume (and wrongfully so in some cases), that fans have the ability to separate what they see on screen from reality. Thus, we get great pieces like this.
Mr. Barrett made an appearance on "The Soscia Network", a radio program out of Philadelphia. The host is an avid wrestling fan and it comes through very well in this interview. I also found on his site an interview he did with The Miz recently, but I've provided more than enough Miz stuff off the cuff. This is a bit more unique as you get 20 minutes with the real Wade Barrett.
