Interesting story from ESPN.com about Emmanuel Igbinosa (above, middle), one of Stanford's unsung heroes last night.

I noted yesterday during the Stanford game thread that I didn't remember the senior guard being much of a player and was shocked at the way he scored 12 unexpected points. Before the game, he averaged 1.3 points in 21 games.

Well it turns out Igbinosa is a Management Science & Engineering major who normally doesn't play on Thursdays so he can attend a class required for him to graduate.

I love that. Who says the student-athlete has gone away? Apparently, not at Stanford.
