UNC opens NCAA Tournament against Liberty
UNC Women's soccer start their NCAA Tournament play on Saturday from Fetzer Field. They will face Liberty at 2p.m.
North Carolina earned one of the 4 number one seeds. UCLA, South Carolina and Texas A&M make up the remaining top four seeds in their portion of the bracket.
The Heels finished 17-4, receiving an at-large bid to the tournament. Liberty won the Big South to gain entry into the field.
The Tar Heels have won a staggering 21 National Championships, including last season. Anson Dorrance's squad will look to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Florida State in the ACC Tournament semifinals last week.
The victor will face the winner of the DePaul-Indiana match up, in the second round.
