A .173 batting average. That's what Dan Uggla had last month on July 4th. Since then he has turned his season around and his average has quickly climbed up to .220. He's on a 30 game hit streak and is the hottest player in baseball. The Braves second basemen is only one game shy of tying the franchise's record which was set by Rico Carty in 1970.

The longest hit streak in this past decade has been by Jimmy Rollins in 2005-06 which lasted 38 games. There are 20 players in MLB history whose hit streaks have ended at 30 games. The latest victim on that list was Andre Ethier who had his hit streak snapped at 30 games in May of this season.

Uggla has had 9 infield singles, 12 home runs and a .345 AVG% during his streak.
