I love the ESPN 30 for 30 series, they are fantastic looks at some of the most interesting stories in sports history such as Gretzky being traded to LA, Michael Jordan playing AA baseball with the Birmingham Barons but I think TSN (Canada's ESPN) would be wise to do one of their own with 30 noteable stories and expand on them. Here are some films I would love TSN to make for a documentary series.
-Toronto Blue Jays win 1992 and 93 world series
-1994 MLB strike kills the Expos shot at a World Series title
-NBA returns to Canada in 1995 with the Raptors and Grizzlies
-Gretzky trade to LA (more on how its affected Edmonton and Oilers playoff runs post Gretzky)
-Donovan Bailey wins 100M in 1996 Olympics and his 150 M race in 1997 vs Michael Johnson
-Ben Johnson wins gold in 1988 Olympics and is stripped of medal
-Expos move to Washington in 2004
-Canada finally gets a gold medal on home soil in the 2010 Vancouver olympics
-CFL expands to the US in 1993
-Winnipeg Jets and Quebec Nordiques moving to Phoenix and Colorado
-The Terry Fox run
-Mike Weir winning the 2003 Masters
-Canada qualifies for the 1986 World Cup
-Canada beats the US in the 2006 World Baseball Classic
-Lennox Lewis wins gold at the 1984 Summer Olympics for Canada
-The last all Canadian stanley Cup finals in 1989 (Montreal vs Calgary)
-The Oilers dethrone the Islanders in the 1984 Stanley Cup finals
-Steve Nash wins back to back NBA MVP awards
