Still having major issues with the blog editor here. Working with a blog editor in HTML is just plain annoying. Enough with my problems, lets catch up with the happenings in the NFL.

Chicago Bears

The Bears released (T) Orlando Pace after one season with the team. Here is another example of how badly both Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo have failed the fans in Chicago. This is just another failed attempt to resurrect a career of an ex-Ram where Smith used to coach. While the Bears had their issues at offensive line before the start of last season, to bring in another retread to just cut him a year later is another sad statement in a long line of them in the Smith/Angelo era.

San Diego Chargers

It seems as if the Chargers want to go a different direction at the running back position all together. After releasing a future HOFer in LaDainian Tomlinson last week the team has decided to not tender an offer to RFA Darren Sproles.

Look for the Chargers to be players in free agency and in the draft to find a couple of new runners.

Buffalo Bills

While he didn't cause any earhtquakes or tsunamis in Buffalo, the Bills are bidding their farewell to (WR) Terrell Owens after just one year.

Though Owens is 36 years of age and not the top flight receiver he was just a couple seasons back. He remains in tremendous shape and will be sure to find a job somewhere in the NFL next season.

New York Jets

The writing was pretty much on the wall for Thomas Jones in the playoffs when rookie Shonn Greene took most of the late games reps. So it was to nobodies surprise that the team released the ulta-fit veteran.

While most backs fall off after their thirtieth birthday Jones has been consistent and is another NFL player who is in such tremendous shape that he will be sure to help whatever team picks him up.
