A coach and a GM get extensions after reviving an organization from a playoff coma. Plus, some good news for Touchdown Dance.

• Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals and head coach Ken Whisenhunt came to an agreement on a 4 year contract extension. The deal also includes a 1 year team option.

Whisenhunt help lead the Cardinals back to respectability with two consecutive apperances and a near victory in the Super Bowl in 2009. While Whisenhunt did bring some stability he wasx helped by a team that was talent filled, especially on offense. He can thank GM Rod Graves for that who was the mastermind in bringing in Kurt Warner as a back-up plan to the young Matt Leinhart. Graves also received an extension which runs through the 2013 season.

Both have their work cut out for them from here on out. Between the retirement of (QB) Kurt Warner and the apparant loss of players like (LB) Karlos Dansby to free agency, the Cardinals have some serious rebuilding to do. More so on the defensive side of the ball where the unit was a damn with many holes to begin with. I guess we will see the real talent and experience of these two men over the next few years and their ability to keep the Cardinals ship on course.
