A couple more franchise tags handed out today. So far the only area that teams seem to be concerned about losing their best players is along the defensive line. Lets see who got th Mickey D's treatment today.
- Oakland Raiders
The Raiders placed the franchise tag on (DL) Richard Seymour. After acquiring Seymour last year from the Patriots it was essential for the Raiders to bring him back. To only get one season out of the Pro Bowl defensive lineman would be another blunder in a long list the Raiders have piled up over the past decade.
- Green Bay Packers
It may be one of the more difficult spots to fill in a 3-4 defense so it is no surprise that the Packers placed the franchise tag on (NT) Ryan Pickett today. Pickett helped the Packers almost make a seemless transition in defensive schemes which usually takes a few seasons to get all the right pieces in place.
