Some news around the league as teams trim the fat and others prove much like Depeche Mode thatthey Just Can't Get Enough.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars cut three veterans this week. Two of which only spent one season with the team and the other spent the past year on IR.

Both (WR) Torry Holt and (OT) Tra Thomas were brought in to tutor young players in waiting as the Jaguars entered a youth movement. The pair must have done a good job in the organization eyes as they were handed their walking papers. The two were made expendable by the expectations and performance by (WR) Mike Sims-Walker and Mike Thomas while rookie (OT) Eugene Monroe and Eben Britton proved to be worth their draft investment.

(DL) Rob Meier was also cut loose after spending all of last season on injured reserve.

  • New York Giants

The Giants cut free former team captain and (MLB) Antonio Pierce after an injury plagued season. Pierce missed the last seven games due to a neck injury. The Giants look to fill their defense with a bit more speed and athleticism. Possible replacements on the current roster could be Chase Blackburn or Jonathan Goff.

Pierce has been deemed healthy and ready to go for another squad. Stay tuned to see where and when he finds a new landing site.

  • Detroit Lions

Donte Stallworth worked out for the Lions this week. He was recently reinstated by the league and then cut by the Cleveland Browns shortly after. I guess everbody deserves a second chance, even if you kill somebody with your car while driving inebriated. At least in the league's eyes. They may just be more forgiving then God himself.

  • Cincinnati Bengals

This team surely Just Can't Get Enough. The team has worked out their latest ex-con in (CB) Adam "Pac-Man" Jones this week. I guess after losing one criminal in Chris "Pick-Up Truck Toss" Henry they feel the need to fill his void with another in "Make it Rain" Jones.

Well, I guess Pac-Man wasn't criminal enough, but the Bengals did find a ex-con to suit their fix. Former Jaguar and everybody's favorite crackhead (WR) Matt Jones is now employed by the Bungals. This on-going non sense of drafting or signing every freaking joke busta in the league has gone beyond ridiculous.
