Regulation and 2 overtimes was not enough time for North Carolina or Virginia Tech to score a goal, and the Men's soccer match ended in a scoreless draw on Friday night.

It is the third draw of the season for the top ranked Tar Heels who are 3-0-3 on the season.

UNC out shot Virginia Tech by a 18-10 margin and led in corner kicks, 7-3. Kyle Renfro came up with 6 saves in the game to turn away North Carolina.

Josh Rice had 5 shots while Omar Holness had 4 to lead Carolina.

North Carolina had chances to win the match late in the contest. Tyler Engel had a solid strike that was saved while Josh Rice missed on a header.

The Tar Heels have had draws on each of their 3 conference games thus far and will step out of the conference to meet William and Mary, next.  That match will be played on Tuesday from Chapel Hill.
