Top Linebacker Prospects Entering The 2014 NFL Draft
For any NFL team looking for a superior linebacker, in upcoming draft there is lots to choose from these four are at the top of their class.
The top linebacker's name in the 2014 NFL Draft is Anthony Barr of UCLA. Having only played two years in college as a linebacker, Barr has established himself as a first round pick, possibly a top ten pick. Barr led the nation in sacks his junior year with 13.5.
Khalil Mack out of Buffalo is another top prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft. Mack was one of the best defensive players in college, setting school records, as well as setting an NCAA record with sixteen forced fumbles. Unlike Barr, Mack played linebacker all four years in college.
Ryan Shazier a dynamic player for Ohio State. Shazier has sideline to sideline speed, and is a solid tackler accounting for one hundred and fifteen tackles along with five sacks his junior year. Shazier was named an All-American in 2013 and will more than likely forgo his senior year and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
Alabama C.J. Mosley mainly played middle linebacker, while the other prospects mentioned are outside linebackers. Alabama is known for consistently producing NFL players; Mosley looks to add to that. His senior year stats were not as prominent as his junior season, however he is still projected as a first rounder. He is currently listed as the number one middle linebacker in the 2014 NFL Draft.
