The Philadelphia Soul beat down the San Jose SaberCats by a score of 42-20 today at the Wells Fargo Center. It was a defensive struggle as far as Arena Football games go, and the Soul clearly had the better defense and the better defensive scheme.They played tight and brutal defense on the SaberCats wide receivers the whole game, and if someone did catch the ball, the Soul made sure they were punished. The pass rush was strong and sufficient, SaberCats QB Nathan Stanley had trouble getting the ball off, and when he did it was usually off target.The Soul offense wasn't too shabby themselves. The star of the game was FB Derrick Ross (pictured above), who scored 4 touchdowns, gaining the Soul 24 out of their 42 points.
