Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! As Pat Fitzgerald got the nod to headline Chicago's St. Paddy's Day parade, you might be thinking this day is reserved for That Team From South Bend. Think again. I'm grabbing at green straws here, but when you're school posts two post-season wins in its history, you look for any angle. On this very date - March 17, 1983 - Rich Falk's 17-win squad drew Notre Dame in the opening round at the then Rosemont (now Allstate Arena) Horizon. Northwestern defied the karma and brought home the "w" -its first post-season win in school history.
