After a seemingly never-ending day of futile prognostication about how a bunch of unproven 18-year-olds are going to transform (or not) each school's future it is time to take a step back and assess the 2010 recruiting class as a whole. Depending upon which recruiting source you subscribe to (or want to), a pervasive theory is the Big Ten in general is down from year's past. Tom Lemming's highest rated Big Ten team for 2010 recruiting is Penn State at number 10 (By the way, Auburn is #4). Rivals.com's skewed ranking system -which essentially penalizes NU b/c total number of players weight heavily in to the rankings - came in 9th.
