Well, It’s time once again in the for the battle of Alberta with the Esks and the Stampeders, and both teams have momentum coming off of big wins. The Eskimos thanks to the foot on Noel Prefontaine were able to beat Saskatchewan 17-14 and the Stampeders mauled the BC Lions 48-35. The last time the two Alberta teams played it was one sided in favor of Calgary as they beat the Esks 56-15, but that was when the Esks were a team that severely lacked heart. Guys like receiver Kelly Campbell and linebacker Mo Lloyd have stepped up for the Esks and defensive back TJ Hill of the Esks is ball hungry.
Henry Burris is still an elite QB in the CFL but this season he has thrown 12 INTS and the offense has been chugging along more on the back of running back Joffrey Reynolds. The Esks should focus more on containing Reynolds than Burris in my opinion.
Prediction: At 2-6 the Eskimos are in playoff position (that’s the CFL for you) will keep the momentum going at get a 24-17 win as some revenge in the never ending provincial rivalry.
